The temple's sanctuary, social hall, and foyer were completely renovated in 1998.  Stop by and see the magnificently remodeled sanctuary. The stained glass windows, comfortable seating, and sophisticated sound system provide an ideal atmosphere for services. Not only is it pleasant to the eye but it is also a wonderfully peaceful place to pray, bringing the congregation closer through it's innovative design.

The stained glass Ark is the home of over 20 Torahs, each one with a special connection of a time in the temple's history.

Story of the Windows

Each stained glass window in the sanctuary represents on of the Two Tablets of the Law.  The right window enumerates the first five commandments with the Hebrew numbers enameled in gold.  The left window displays the remaining five commandments.  Each commandment is accompanied by a symbol or sign in mulberry colored glass which refers to its content as follows:

Aleph - Here the recognition of God’s sovereignty is expressed by a fiery crown.

Beth - The unity of God is expressed by a simple rectangle marked by the Yod as a token of His Name.

Gimmel     The commandment against perjury is indicated by a closed mouth, the lips of which are flames.

Dalet        The commandment to observe the Sabbath is referred to by a flame witin a square floating over a serene horizontal to indicate rest

Hey           The commandment to honor parents is suggested by two larger forms flanking a smaller one.

Vav           Since this commandment is concerned with man and his sanctity, he is referred to by means of a pyramid of five triangles which stand for the senses..

Zayen        The sanctity of marriage is referred to by means of a pair of marriage bands.

Cheth        The sanctity of property is referred to by means of a container set in a diamond shape.

Theth        The commandment against bearing false witness is expressed by a forked tongue.

Yod           The warning against covetousness is expressed by one shave having pincer-like arms reaching greedily towards another.
