Volunteerism

Temple Anshe Sholom is built on a solid foundation of volunteerism that began the first day that the temple was founded and is a strong theme to this day. Truly the best way to enhance our lives and those of others through the mitzvah of volunteering. There are many ways to volunteer for the temple, and many great examples where volunteering has provided a benefit to the temple and the entire community. Just a few of them are listed below:

  • Services - Volunteering to participate in a service is both an honor and a perfect way to help the temple. Please contact Debbie Berman, Chairman of Religious Services & Ritual Committee through the temple office if you are interested.
  • PADS - Our temple is long standing member of the Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS). Volunteers are always needed for this program. If you can help please contact Teri Gaby, the TAS PADS coordinator at (708) 755-7846.
  • Library - The temple is need of volunteers to help organize the temple library, select new books, and provide guidance for students and temple members who wish to use the library. If you have some time during the day and would like to help out, please contact the temple office.

There are may more opportunities. Please contact the temple office and become one of the many reasons why our temple the shining example of volunteerism in our community.
