Men's Club In Motion

To my fellow Congregants:

ONCE AGAIN the end of the calendar year is upon us, and with that we know that the Hanukkah holiday has past. Some of the members of Men’s Club assisted the children once again this year with their “Meshugana Menorahs”. The holiday was rather late this year, but that gave everyone time at school to prepare for the “Festival of Lights.”

AS THE SECULAR YEAR winds to a close, and we regret what we did not get done during the past 12 months, we have the opportunity to “try again and get it right” during the next twelve months. We have two opportunities—our Jewish New Year and our secular New Year—to change, study, improve communications, make friends, and try to make ourselves better individuals during the year ahead. Your Men’s Club is no different than any organization, we welcome your suggestions and we look to improve.

IT IS MY GOAL to be able to provide all our TAS members a social event this coming spring at a very nominal cost. The economy is not in great shape, and if we can have an event that all of us can enjoy (without breaking the bank), I will be the first person on the dance floor (with Judy, of course, to straighten out my two left feet)! Oy…did I say that? Please watch the bulletin and check your e-mails “early and often” and as soon as we figure out dates, times, etc., we will make the announcement.

Both Judy and I send our best wishes in the hope that you had an enjoyable Hanukkah holiday with your family and friends and enjoyed those crispy latkes!
