We are very excited to begin the second half of our School year! Hebrew School will
resume on Thursday, January 5th and Sunday School and High School Havurah will be back in session on January 8th.
Friday, January 20th, there will be a special Shabbat Service that our High School Havurah students are preparing under the leadership of our 11th and 12th grade teacher, Bonnie Dinell-Dimond. This Service is titled, “An Homage to Levi Strauss and Other Jewish American Inventive Emigrants”. The students are working hard preparing and researching material for this Service. They have also been building a special chair for POWS/MIAS from America and Israel. This chair will be dedicated at this Service and given a
special spot on the Bima. We look forward to everyone joining our students at this wonderful Service to show our appreciation for their tremendous effort in
completing this project.
On Sunday, January 22nd we will have our third joint program of the year with the United Religious School at BYBS in Homewood. This program will be a
two-fold program. There will be a large board game activity and a special speaker on Anti-Bullying.
Parent participation is very important to the success of this program! Saturday, January 28th, we will have our 5th and 6th Grade Junior Congregation. We look forward to having them leading the Service.
